Why Software protection?
We want to develop high-quality software products also in future. Therefore we must protect our products from mis-use. For this, a WIBUKEY Dongle is used. Without Dongle the sowftare runs only for a limited time or the functionality is limited in one way or another. By buying a software license the complete functionality will be enabled.
Why are using a WIBU-Key?
We use the WIBUKEY dongle since many years as software protection for Elvis runtime licenses.
Until now, we only had very few problems with this dongle. Therefore also our other products are now protected by
WIBUKEY against unauthorized use.
We can deliver the WIBUKEY dongle for USB and parallel port.
Further information about WIBUKEY is available from the manufacturer's web site.
Is the Key contained in the product license?
Elvis: The WIBU-Key is contained in the price of the runtime license. The Elvis Developer license is not protected by a WIBU-Key.
IT Tools for ETS 3: Our IT Tools for ETS 3 can share a single WIBUKEY dongle. Therefore the dongle price is not contained in the license prices of the individual products. So when buying the first product you also have to buy a Hardware key.
How is the WIBU-Key content interpreted?
In the Windows control panel you find an entry "WIBU-KEY WIBU-KEY Software Protection: Test and Settings".
This applet allows you to check the content of the WIBU-Key, generate a license file or import a license update.
