Now create a control for the datapoint "Light Kitchen". For this both the datapoint list and the page should be opened.

Select the desired datapoint in the datapoint list by clicking on the row header (by this the whole row is selected not just one cell):

Now press the mouse button again over the row header and drag the datapoint into the page (keep the mouse button pressed). The cursor will look like this in the table and like this in the page. Release the mouse button at the desired position. By this a control has been created which is connected to the datapoint.

The size of the control can be adjusted my moving one of the corner points with pressed mouse button

The control is now already configured completely. If you like you may further change the appearance and behaviour of the control using the properties dialog. This can be opened via Context menu > Properties. For example you may change the texts or pictures to be displayed in the control.

Hint: With many datapoints it is advantageous to pre-configure the control so that it will already be created with the desired settings. Look up "datapoint types" in the manual for details.
